In 1990 Bill Davenport drove to Texas with a mattress strapped to the top of his truck, and he's still here! His big, funny artworks litter Texas roadsides and his amazing trompe l'oeil paintings adorn walls from here to the Panhandle, but he is best remembered nowadays for the sensationally quirky Bill's Junk, the only resale shop ever featured at the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston.
