Bio
Nova May's love of art started as a teen making props for Little Shop of Horrors. Since then, her style is about the surprising juxtaposition of innocent nostalgia with something extraordinary. Her Love Locket Sculpture is an interactive experience that reminds couples that their love should be a public badge of solidarity. Mojave Lights at the Delano reminded us of the interplay of desert lights and wild nights. Surrealistic Pillow brought guests into a luscious world of texture and visuals, complementing the bespoke cocktails that seduced guests into valentine headspace. Nova relishes the opportunity to tell resonate stories within the worlds she builds. Inspired by humanity's intricate beauty, she brings forth moments of vulnerability and play; this is evident in her whimsical bicycle installation at Winchester. Imagination Director of 222 Space, she created worlds made of cardboard that embodied motel vibes and glittery seas of zen-inspired sand that invited families to transform the garden. Her work reminds us that there is always new life to be found in an object reimagined, and in doing so, she invites our inner children to exquisite tea times.
