Bio
I'm a Cuban/American artist and creator with 15 years of experience working in non-profit, large-scale events. I relocated from Miami, Florida, to Denver, Colorado, in 2017 to work for the Denver Zoo, where I spent six years designing and producing Zoo Lights for the winter season.
While in Colorado, I returned to school to earn my degree in Fine Arts and was given the opportunity to intern at Meow Wolf's third exhibition, Convergence Station in Denver. After the exhibition opened, I was called back to work for the Meow Wolf team full-time as a Senior Coordinator for their fourth exhibition, The Real Unreal in Grapevine, Texas. I have since been promoted to Associate Show Manager for the fifth Meow Wolf exhibition, Radio Tave in Houston, Texas.
I enjoy problem-solving and thinking outside the box to uncover creative solutions to existing roadblocks, improving productivity and morale. I enjoy being a bit of a "Swiss army knife" for my team, as I can paint, sculpt, design in 3D, and understand construction documents.
Radio Tave
Associate Show Manager
As the Associate Show Manager, I was tasked with being the onsite proxy to Show Manager Mark Gilbert. I managed scenic vendors, lighting vendors, and all vendors pertaining to show on site at Radio Tave including contracting, design, production, and install. I managed all Show aspects of the build and worked with the City of Houston and General Ccontractor to ensure our build was successful.
Projects
The Real Unreal
Senior Coordinator
As a Senior Coordinator with Meow Wolf, I assisted in organizing the project from the Show side and trained individuals before going to the Real Unreal Dallas site.
Convergence Station
Creative Direction Intern
I came onto convergence station as an Intern to assist Creative Director, Chadney Everett from CU Denver. As a final year Digital Design student, I learned all I could from Creative Directors on site and implemented what was taught to me where applicable. I assisted in making sure the direction for all anchors owned by Chadney were executed and signed off on.
