This mural speaks to messages and wisdom provided to the living through the portal of nature and colorful soundwaves.Galactic Waves uses the longitudinal, mechanical, and pressures lines to pay homage to soundwaves and the work they do, seen and unseen. Understanding sound as a physical wave, we can manipulate it to greater heights than just entertainment, as representative of the hills shown in the mural. Galactic Waves tells a story of how our environment and lived experiences aren't just conceptual; they have a physical aspect, too, and its waves have been used to purify the land and life. Mathieu explores the sound that is produced when something vibrates in harmony or against the presumed natural order, hence the satellite centered in one the many eyes in this piece. This mural uses eyes throughout the painting to transmit messages showing various directions, offbeat trails, and a roadmap to remind us that if we LISTEN and follow the waves we can find our way home.
