**This space is for UNLV artists to create different projects on a rotating basis. The space changes and each artist is credited on the Omega Mart Meow Wolf website as they complete their art projects. **
The current project is Meta-Talos III. "A continuation of my research, which explores the many ways painting relates to the wider public by allowing people to engage with painting in new ways. The paintings will evolve over time, accumulating touches and marks by both painter and guests. I want people to interact with painting in ways they might otherwise never have. Galleries and museums forbid touching. Here you are invited to touch. What will the painting gain by inviting touch? Here, guests may engage in the composition of the space. Portions of the canvas walls are repositionable so that people can explore the act of curating relationships between paintings. I wish to explore the performative aspect of painting. I invite people into the intimate relationship between painter and painting by allowing them to watch the process unfold. The space will be activiated by live painting once a week at a regularly scheduled time, and will evolve over several weeks." - Karla Lagunas
