Located in the DramCorp Factory, the Factory Solenoids are a series of 32 mechanical sound boxes that are mounted throughout the space, located under staircases, floor panels, and ceiling panels. The solenoids function as the percussive component of Amon Tobin's sound design within the factory. When activated, the solenoids strike whatever metal object they are attached to, creating a dynamic acoustic and spatial sonic experience, giving the visitors the sense that the factory is functioning like a large organism.
