Bio
Shayna Cohn's studio practice seeks to create heightened versions of phenomena found in the natural world. She creates artworks that glow, shine, reflect, and scatter light using man-made materials. Cohn's work offers the viewer a break from static and tangible imagery and invites them into a more fluid and subjective sense of wonder, curiosity, and infinite possibility.
Cohn received her BFA from the College of Wooster in Ohio and her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and is currently an Assistant Professor of Foundations and Fine Arts at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver, CO.
