A portrait predominately based off the photo from the first worldwide appearance of DJ Screw in The Source magazine, July 1995 issue, with Biggie Smalls “King of New York” on the cover, to be exact. Truly a highly sought-after book on the aftermarket, but it is even more important to me because it was my first time seeing what Screw looked like, as well as for many others. The depiction is a dark and mysterious, almost aerial view of Robert Earl Davis at his home studio recording space “The Wood Room.”
