For this mural, I wanted to tie together the Omega Mart Deli with the Factory in a biological yet mechanical way. The "torus" shape adds an illusion of depth to the narrow walkway which expands as you walk through the portal. The shimmery, cellular line work alludes to the infusion of source into the meat products that the deli is serving up - at the beginning of the portal it mirrors the netting of the meat chandeliers, and then gradually reflects the colorful lighting of the Factory toward the end of the portal. The tones used in the portal also shift from warm to cool as you arrive in the Factory.
