Vacuum and heat formed surface made with recycled polycarbonate. Surface is 10ft in diameter and located approximately 30 ft high at the apex of the Amalgam structure
The surface is textured and bubbled with some areas of fully clear polycarbonate, and some areas of dense lamination. Surrounding and attached to the diameter of the polycarbonate surface are 24 laser cut steel “Radial Fading Objects” clad with sewn netting, projection vinyl, and fabric. These objects are meant to soften the edge between the light hole and the darkness of the surrounding space. - Dave Mcpherson
