An ode to the still life,
A spell of abundance,
A swirling cascade of fruits through drapes
Beyond the planes contained by archways
Calling us back to the roots of abstraction
When renaissance painters pondered in fabric folds
The value and form framing the action,
And built bowls of ripening rinds to find
themes of life-
Fertility, mortality, and satisfaction.
