The Piano Harp is an electromechanical instrument consisting of a vintage upright piano stripped of its enclosure, keys and hammers, mounted to the exhibition wall and actuated by rotary solenoids which strike the strings directly. Along with the Metalophone, the Piano Harp creates the musical backbone of the anchor sound design. Notes and trills can be triggered by guests from one of three Touch interfaces at the base of the Piano Harp. Lighting is embedded throughout the Piano Harp and its enclosing shroud. Lighting also synchronizes with guest interactivity as well as with the musical composition.
